Talented young race kart driver Kasia Nicklin has just successfully finished the prestigious Super1 National Kart Series, sponsored by local car dealership Cecil & Larter Saab.
The Super 1 National Kart Championship is contested over six rounds by over forty of the most gifted junior drivers in the country who compete against each other on some of the most challenging kart circuits in the UK.
The season has been a real roller coaster of a ride, with many highs and lows throughout each of the 3-day rounds. Kasia started with a 5th place finish in the final at the opening round in Wigan, and built on this success with a 1st place finish in a heat at the second round, at Paul Fletcher International circuit in Lincolnshire only to be disappointed by a no start due to mechanical problems in the following heat. In the last two rounds of the championship Kasia made strong performances in the heats, but was denied her full points scoring potential due to collisions in the finals.
Nevertheless, Kasia finished in an impressive 15th position and was the only girl to compete in the 8-13 year olds category. Not only has Kasia successfully completed the series, she will not need to pre-qualify if she wants to continue in the championship next year which is a well-deserved achievement.
Local dealership Cecil & Larter Saab continues to offer support and funding to Kasia in her pursuit of her dream to become a national race Kart champion.
Haydon Wilding, Sales Manager of Cecil & Larter Saab, said: “We are very proud of Kasia and her outstanding progress and we are delighted that she has successfully finished the Super1 National Kart Championship, within in the top 15 drivers which is not an easy thing to achieve. It is amazing how far Kasia has come from her very earliest races to the confident young competitor she is today, and we are delighted to be associated with someone who will undoubtedly be a name to look out for in the future.”
