Crightons' take to the water

Local car dealership Crightons' of Peterborough is proud to announce that it will once again be sponsoring the 2008 Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

The festival was officially launched in spectacular style in the centre of Peterborough on 7th February, as part of the city’s Chinese New Year celebrations.

The 10th annual Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Sunday 22nd June and consists of 52 boats of up to 17 people battling it out over a 250m course in front of thousands of spectators. The Dragon Boat race is open to everyone, and anyone interested in arranging a team can pick up an entry form for the race from Crightons’ of Peterborough.

For those keen to stay on dry land, the festival also offers plenty of bankside entertainment for all the family, including live music, a funfair and a wide variety of food stalls.

Each year, the festival raises money for a number of charities, including the dealership's nominated charity - the Peterborough SportsAid Foundation - an organisation that helps Peterborough's young sportsmen and women to achieve their full sporting potential.
